These terms are being finalised and are published here for reference only.

Deposits

A deposit secures your consultation and reserves design time. Deposit amounts and how a deposit is applied are confirmed at booking.

Rescheduling

Let the studio know as early as you can if you need to move an appointment. Reasonable notice lets the time be offered to someone else.

Cancellations

Cancellation terms are confirmed at booking.

Late arrival

If you arrive late, the session may need to be shortened or moved so the rest of the day runs on time.

Design changes

Minor adjustments are made together on the day. A materially different concept may require additional design time and an additional fee.

Artist discretion

Kristyn may decline a project that is not a good artistic or practical fit. If that happens she will tell you directly and as early as she can.

Consultations, design and fees

Every project starts with a consultation. It is where Kristyn works through size, placement, direction and timing with you, and it is the point at which a project takes shape. Nothing is settled from an enquiry alone.

A consultation and design reservation fee holds your consultation time and Kristyn’s design capacity, and it covers your first design concept. The current amount is shown before you reserve.

How the fee is applied depends on the project. For a straightforward piece, some or all of it may come off the cost of the tattoo. For a large custom project, it may go toward the design work and holding your place in the schedule. Kristyn will explain how it applies to yours during the consultation.

One design concept is included. It is drawn from the details, references and notes you share, so the more you give up front, the closer it lands. Small refinements — sizing, positioning, a detail here and there — are part of the process and are not charged for, including the ones you make together on the day.

A materially different concept is charged separately. Changing the central subject, replacing the direction, or asking for several alternatives to choose from means starting the design again, and an additional design concept fee applies. The current amount is shown before you reserve. Whether a change counts as a refinement or a new concept is Kristyn’s call.

Kristyn generally prepares your design about a week before your appointment.
