Text messaging
Stabs Fine Line Tattoo Shop (stabs.ink) texts people who have asked the studio about a tattoo. This page sets out every way you can agree to be texted, exactly what the studio sends, and how to stop.
How you opt in
There are two ways, and only two. The studio never buys, rents, or imports phone numbers, and it never texts a number that arrived any other way.
1. The consultation form on this website
At stabs.ink/consultation, under Contact & consent, you enter your mobile number and tick a box that is unchecked by default. The box reads:
☐ I agree to receive text messages from Stabs Fine Line Tattoo Shop at the mobile number above about my enquiry, my consultation, and my appointments.
Message frequency varies — typically a few messages around each consultation or appointment. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. See our Privacy Policy and Terms.
Ticking that box is the only thing that grants consent. Entering your number does not, and submitting the form without the box ticked does not. You can book a consultation without ticking it — the studio will reply by email instead.
A second, separate box offers optional studio news. It is also unchecked by default, it is not required to book, and it carries its own disclosure. Agreeing to messages about your project never opts you into that.
2. You text the studio first
The studio’s number, (970) 438-2862, is published on this site with an invitation to text it about a tattoo. If you start the conversation, the studio replies to it. That reply thread is the whole of the consent: it covers messages about the enquiry you started, and nothing else. The studio’s first reply identifies the studio by name and tells you that you can reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help.
What the studio sends
Service messages about a project you started — a reply to your enquiry, a consultation time to confirm, a booking confirmation, a payment link for the consultation fee, a reminder before your appointment, and aftercare follow-up. Sample messages:
Stabs Fine Line Tattoo Shop: Hi Sam — thanks for your enquiry about the fine line piece. Kristyn has a consultation open Thu 14 Aug at 2:00pm. Reply YES to request it. Msg&data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.
Stabs Fine Line Tattoo Shop: Your consultation on Thu 14 Aug at 2:00pm is confirmed. To hold it, the $50 fee can be paid here: https://stabs.ink/pay/xxxx Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.
Stabs Fine Line Tattoo Shop: Reminder — your consultation with Kristyn is tomorrow, Thu 14 Aug at 2:00pm, at the studio. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.
Frequency, rates, and stopping
Message frequency varies with your project, and is typically a few messages around each consultation or appointment.
Message and data rates may apply.
Reply STOP at any time to stop messages. You will get one confirmation that no further messages will be sent, and then nothing. Reply START to begin again. Reply HELP for help, which returns the studio’s name and contact details.
Stopping messages does not cancel an appointment. Contact the studio another way if you need to change one.
Your number
Your mobile number and your consent to be texted are never sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing. The only companies that see your number are the ones that carry the message on the studio’s behalf, and only so it can be delivered.
Full detail is in the Privacy Policy and the Terms.
